Is it worth going again?
The experience was amazing! It was so beautiful to see black people gathered in such a positive space. Loved dancing until I was dripping sweat. There were free water stations. Lots of food and other things to do while waiting for artists to perform. The major issue that made me question going back was the nearly 3-hour delay on the performances. Waiting for people to come on was so long! The first night they were very behind, the second night was a little shaky but our wait times weren't that bad. They kept playing the same music over and over during the intermissions. The sign language interpreters were signing to the crowd, but only those within eyesight of the stage could see it because DJ Diamond Cuts was on the screen instead of the interpreters. Others were not getting that lit vibe. The audio was kind of bad, artists' mics were not turned up, and artists complained of not hearing themselves while on stage. Despite all that, it was a lit experience. We smoked, drank, danced, laughed, met new people, and had a beautiful weekend among other beautiful black people on sunny days. The vibe was great and everyone was so beautiful.
